Review of Guidelines, Standards and Menus for the Inclusion of Aquatic Foods in School Meals Survey

You are invited to participate in a study where the aim is to map, classify, and assess the inclusion of aquatic foods across three national or sub-national-level instruments—Food Based Dietary Guidelines (FBDGs), school meal nutrition guidelines and standards (NGS), and school meal menus—and to explore implementation fidelity and contextual enablers/barriers through a short survey with countries implementing school meal programs. This information will be used to form policy and program recommendations for strengthening use of aquatic foods in school meal programs to improve child nutrition, while considering sustainability and feasibility.

This is a research study, led by the Institute of Marine Research, FAO Fisheries and Aquaculture Division and partners. The data collected will be used only for this research study, not for any other purposes.  No personally identifiable information will be published. Any personally identifiable information collected (including name) will be kept confidential. Identifiers will be replaced with coded or categorical data prior to analysis, and no individual responses will be identifiable in any dissemination of results.

Your name and email will only be used for follow-up if you consent to participate in a follow-up interview for clarification of any information provided. If you would like to read further information about the project and the processing of your data, please read more here. If you have any questions regarding the survey, please submit them to:
